We may collect the following types of information:
Information You Provide:
When you sign up for and use a Portions Master™ application, product, or contact us form, we ask you for personal information. We may combine the information you submit under your account with data from other Portions Master™ applications, products, and services or those of third parties to provide you with a better experience and improve the quality of our services.
Portions Master™ provides services in conjunction with or on behalf of other service providers. Those service providers will have access to your account information, including some of your personal information and the data you provide.
In order to provide accurate calorie tracking, the mobile app optionally collects your calories burned data to be stored in your user profile and is not shared with 3rd parties. Any use of your calories burned data received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Log Information:
When you access Portions Master™ services via a browser, application, or mobile client, our servers automatically record certain information. These server logs may include your web request, your interaction with a service, location, the date and time of your request, and your account.
User Communications:
When you send an email or other communications to Portions Master™ or a service provider, we may retain those communications to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services and those of service providers. We may use your email address to communicate with you about our services.
Location Data:
Portions Master™ may offer location-enabled services and may receive information about your actual location (such as GPS signals sent by a mobile device) or information that can be used to approximate a location (such as a cell ID). In addition to the above, we may use the information we collect to provide, maintain, protect, and improve our services (including advertising services) and develop new services.
Portions Master™ processes personal information on our servers in Canada, the United States of America, and other countries. In some cases, we process personal information outside your own country.
Information Sharing:
Portions Master™ will share information with service providers on a need-to-know basis to allow them to serve you or others better. Further, information will be correlated in an anonymous format and made available in reports and other general process improvement methods, business analysis, and any other purpose.
Portions Master™ will also share information when we have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (b) enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Google, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.
If Google becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets. In that case, we will ensure the confidentiality of any personal information involved in such transactions and provide notice before personal data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
